About the Role

Edikted is seeking a Director of Social Media to lead the brand's social strategy and drive how we show up across culture, fashion, and digital platforms.

This role will own the vision, strategy, and execution of Edikted's social ecosystem across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat, and emerging platforms. The ideal candidate is deeply connected to Gen Z culture, understands the rapidly evolving social landscape, and has a proven track record of building highly engaging, trend-driven content that drives both brand relevance and business growth.

As Director of Social Media, you will lead a team of Social Managers and Content Creators while partnering closely with Creative, Influencer Marketing, E-commerce, Retail, and Paid Media teams. You will be responsible for ensuring Edikted remains at the forefront of culture, social innovation, and fashion conversation while continuously growing audience engagement, brand affinity, and customer acquisition.

This role will lead and develop Edikted's team of Content Creators, providing strategic and creative direction to ensure a consistent flow of culturally relevant, platform-native content that drives engagement, audience growth, and brand relevance.

This is a highly strategic and hands-on leadership role requiring a strong balance of creative instinct, trend forecasting, content expertise, team leadership, and performance-driven decision making.

Social Strategy & Brand Growth

  • Own and lead Edikted's social media strategy across all owned platforms.
  • Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly social strategies aligned with brand and business objectives.
  • Establish KPIs focused on audience growth, engagement, video views, traffic, customer acquisition, and brand awareness.
  • Identify emerging social trends, platform shifts, and cultural moments that create opportunities for Edikted to lead conversations.
  • Continuously evaluate platform performance and recommend opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Ensure Edikted remains a best-in-class social brand within the Gen Z fashion space.

Content & Creative Leadership

  • Lead the development of social-first content strategies across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, Snapchat, and emerging platforms.
  • Partner closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Stylists, and Production teams to create content that feels native to each platform while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Drive a balanced content strategy across trend-driven content, creator content, editorial storytelling, product-focused content, lifestyle content, and community engagement.
  • Champion experimentation and testing of new content formats, platform features, and creative concepts.
  • Ensure content remains culturally relevant, fast-moving, and reflective of how Gen Z consumes and shares content.
  • Develop content pillars and storytelling frameworks that support both short-term performance and long-term brand building.
  • Translate brand campaigns, product launches, store openings, and seasonal moments into social-first content strategies.

Trend & Culture Leadership

  • Act as the internal expert on Gen Z culture, fashion trends, social behavior, creators, and platform evolution.
  • Translate cultural insights into actionable content opportunities and brand moments.
  • Lead real-time social activations around trends, viral moments, product launches, store openings, and key brand initiatives.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for Edikted to be early and relevant rather than reactive.
  • Monitor competitor activity, emerging creators, and industry best practices to ensure Edikted remains culturally connected and ahead of the market.

Team Leadership & Content Creator Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing social media team including Social Managers and Content Creators.
  • Manage and provide clear creative direction to a team of Content Creators, ensuring content aligns with brand objectives, platform best practices, and current cultural trends.
  • Develop content briefs, creative concepts, and content priorities for the team while maintaining a consistent brand voice across all channels.
  • Guide Content Creators on storytelling, hooks, filming approaches, trends, talent direction, editing styles, and platform-specific content execution.
  • Review content regularly, providing actionable feedback and coaching to continuously elevate creative quality and performance.
  • Partner with Creative, Influencer, and Production teams to ensure Content Creators are equipped with the resources and direction needed to execute high-performing content.
  • Establish clear processes, workflows, content calendars, and performance expectations across the social team.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, agility, and innovation while encouraging rapid testing and learning.
  • Partner with leadership to identify team growth opportunities and future organizational needs.

Analytics & Performance

  • Own social reporting and performance analysis across all channels.
  • Translate data into actionable recommendations that improve engagement, reach, audience growth, and conversion.
  • Monitor content performance daily and optimize strategy based on audience behavior and platform trends.
  • Identify winning content formats and scale successful content across platforms.
  • Partner with Paid Media and Growth teams to identify opportunities to amplify high-performing organic content.
  • Present regular performance recaps and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Creative, E-commerce, Retail, Influencer Marketing, Paid Media, PR, and Merchandising teams to bring campaigns to life across social channels.
  • Ensure social is integrated into all major brand initiatives and launches.
  • Act as the voice of the social audience internally, sharing insights and opportunities that influence broader business decisions.
  • Collaborate with Creative leadership to ensure social content supports and enhances overall brand storytelling.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 9+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, content strategy, or brand marketing, preferably within fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
  • 3+ years of experience managing and developing social media teams and content creators.
  • Proven experience leading social strategy for a fast-growing consumer brand.
  • Deep understanding of Gen Z audiences, fashion culture, creators, and social trends.
  • Strong knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat, and emerging platforms.
  • Demonstrated success growing social audiences, increasing engagement, and driving measurable business results.
  • Proven ability to identify and capitalize on emerging trends before they reach mass adoption.
  • Strong understanding of content creation, video production, storytelling, and platform-specific best practices.
  • Experience developing and directing creator-led content strategies.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate performance data into strategic action.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working for a Gen Z fashion brand, fast-fashion retailer, or digitally native consumer brand.
  • Experience scaling creator and influencer-led content programs.
  • Strong understanding of social commerce and conversion-focused content strategies.
  • Experience overseeing high-volume content production across multiple channels.
  • Comfortable appearing on camera and representing the brand when needed.
