This position reports to the Senior Manager, PR & Influencer Marketing
The Coordinator, PR & Influencer Marketing position will have the responsibility for supporting internal and external communications initiatives for Sol de Janeiro, via proactive and reactive media and influencer relations. You will need to be outgoing and engaging; messaging, texting and meeting with influencers to build true brand advocates.
*This role is based in the US, preferably in the NY area however is a remote opportunity.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide support on the ongoing day-to-day planning and execution of key influencer activities including product mailers, gift bags, events, and earned social media coverage from editors and influencers.
- Own the sample request process, partnering with cross functional teams to coordinate the fulfillment of all incoming sample inquiries from influencers and media outlets while maintaining and monitoring tracking documents.
- Creatively and proactively grow and retain influencer database, fostering relationships with influencers on multiple social channels and in real life to drive brand conversations and advocacy, building a database and calendar of key life events to engage across.
- Assist with executing a variety of influencer marketing campaigns and program plans in compliance with FTC guidelines.
- Develop and maintain talent contact database, tagging and categorizing at campaign and initiative level.
- Strong ability to analyze and synthesize quantitative data, summarizing effectiveness of influencer outreach initiatives, evaluating consumer engagement levels. Report on impact and ROI using Tribe Dynamics tools on a monthly basis and following launches.
- Strong knowledge and ongoing learning on social platforms and changes that could alter strategy, such as algorithm updates or social behavior shifts.
- Provide administrative and marketing support to prepare necessary 360 GTM and campaign presentations.
- Conduct market/media research and applying findings to documentation, projects, and campaigns.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date media lists, influencer databases/ directory, meeting agendas/reports, etc.
- Ensure Global PR agency partners requests are met.
- Assist in developing press pitch documents and interview preparation documents for brand founders.
- Assist agency and Senior Manager in building and editing mailer lists, invite lists and other target lists.
- Deliver accurate and actionable meeting recaps.
- Maintain product inventory forecast and transfers to warehouse, oversee daily influencer product requests, submitting daily warehouse POs and sharing tracking information with influencers and agency partners.
What You'll Need to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or a related field
- 1-3 years of on-the-job experience (including internships)
- Strong communication skills
- Impeccable follow through
- Deep knowledge of social content and social best practices, an eye on competitive marketplace and staying up to date with social trends
- An open-minded team player with a collaborative attitude
- Highly organized and able to manage complex projects; detail oriented and take direction and flexible working within multiple project focused teams
