The Influencer Manager (Digital/Social) is someone who lives and breathes social media, has a passion for writing and understands what moves culture. They are experts in helping brands show up in a relevant, authentic, and engaging way across social platforms. This role requires someone with at least three years of experience in managing brand social accounts, leading social content strategies, and developing influencer marketing programs. This person is fluent in social platforms (FB, IG, TW, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, Reddit, Discord, etc.) and stays up to date on the nuances of each platform and the latest cultural trends. We are looking for smart, curious, self-starters who can bring social media expertise to a growing team and think both strategically and creatively.

Previous experience working on CPG, healthcare, fashion/streetwear or consumer electronics brands is a plus and a great sense of humor is always appreciated!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Social content calendar planning, management, and execution — Developing monthly social calendars that ladder to long-term social and brand strategies, writing & editing social copy for posts, sourcing & selecting assets, scheduling and publishing posts. Content creation experience (e.g., create GIFs or graphic assets) is a plus
  • Sourcing, curating, and evaluating potential content opportunities and assets for social, including UGC, press mentions, partnership and brand content, to consider leveraging and resharing on owned channels, influencing ongoing content calendars
  • Overseeing Digital Asset Management procedures and uploads for content storage, including organizing and tracking social assets
  • Page hygiene management — ensure description, profile images, bios are update to date and consistent across channels
  • Monitoring relevant cultural & industry trends and social platform updates to inform platform and content opportunities and recommendations
  • Work alongside Creative Strategists to develop social plans, POVs, and content as required for both planned or ad-hoc content
  • Contribute to social reporting, including collaborating with analysts on developing learnings and takeaways for monthly social reports and campaign wrap-up reports
  • Lead social influencer management, including: Researching, identifying, and recommending social media influencers for campaigns and social content series
  • Conducting outreach and establishing long-term relationships with social media influencers to negotiate pricing, terms of contract, and other project-specific requirements
  • Reviewing influencer assets (videos, images, and other media) to ensure complete accuracy and fulfillment of influencer contractual obligations
  • Developing influencer campaign wrap-up reports
  • Contribute to shaping long-term social & content strategy initiatives, including year-long social strategies, always-on content strategies and ideas, platform and social tool POVs, etc.

Client Relationships

  • As a junior member of the team, you’ll be responsible for speaking to the content of your work with plenty of opportunities for client exposure, learning, and growth

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Support Creative Strategists and 180NY leadership in client presentations
  • Lead development with oversight from Director, Social Operations on certain projects

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as social strategist/community manager at an advertising agency or in-house social media marketing team
  • Strong copywriting skills: ability to adapt copy to brand tone and write in a social-first, engaging manner
  • Adept in using social media management and influencer management tools, such as Sprout, FB Business Manager, Sprinklr, CreatorIQ, etc.
  • Exceptional communication skills: clearly communicate, present, and set expectations with managers, peers, agency partners, and clients
  • Team player who’s adept at collaborating across functions (business, strategy, analytics, creative, production)
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and client expectations
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to deliver quick turnarounds, work efficiently, and stay on top of various project workstreams
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and adapt to changing needs
  • Proactive at identifying opportunities, anticipating challenges, problem-solving
  • Has a positive, curious, engaged, can-do attitude, and is passionate about social media, storytelling, and building brands and communities
