Overview
Ogilvy is seeking a Senior Social Strategist to work on our healthcare portfolio of businesses. Through a strong understanding of social platforms, senior strategists take an active role in all aspects of a healthcare social project—identifying brand’s challenges, running competitive analyses, forming recommendation, building the creative and content framework of social programs and being able to be a strong partner to creative teams to bring social campaigns and work to life. This role requires a candidate that has experience working in the healthcare or pharmaceuticals space and is comfortable planning and overseeing a campaign from end-to-end.
Senior Strategists also work closely with the wider agency healthcare and client team to continuously improve the thinking, direction of the strategy, and recommended programs and tactics. They are well versed in all Social Media platforms and can maintain a strong relationship with the different platform leads for their healthcare portfolio of clients.
Responsibilities
- This candidate will be the day-to-day social lead on key healthcare accounts at Ogilvy, working with the Social Strategy Director of Healthcare, internal account teams, creative teams and the clients
- Able to build social briefs and work with creatives to ensure social-first and audience-centric output in the healthcare space
- Able to combine creative content ideas with smart social media strategies to drive business results.
- Strong social skills and proven data interpretation capabilities; able to translate findings into insights.
- Can apply multiple analysis techniques and use tools to gain insights and facts from social to build personas, journeys, content pillars.
- Work with media teams to understand campaign performance and how those learnings impact future campaigns.
- Can develop social strategies and be a strong presenter when taking this to client teams
- Able to develop sophisticated competitive and brand audits.
- Strong understanding of the power of influencers within the digital space, with the ability to identify the right influencers for brand and audiences
- Identify issues that need to be escalated and does so properly
- Has developed at least one area of expertise in the healthcare arena - e.g., audience analysis, social creative development, community management, influencer strategy, executive visibility strategy
Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in social marketing, with proven examples of strategies developed for well-known brands in the social media space, ideally with at least 1 year of experience in the healthcare space
- Strategically strong. Understands the client’s business and is able to connect business challenges and social strategy/tactics.
- Agency experience and/or demonstrated interest in the Healthcare field preferred.
- Expert in understanding of social media and established understanding of the wider digital communications landscape
- Passionate about quickly-‐evolving digital/social media environment with a strong POV to share with clients and colleagues
- Research skills, with the ability to generate data-‐based insights to weave into the strategy process
- Ability to work effectively, proactively and seamlessly amongst an integrated agency team
- Superior communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
- Eye for innovation and the next emerging platform or partner to consider as part of a social strategy results
