ABOUT BUTLER

Butler Hospitality works with hotel developers, owners, and operators to increase the efficiency of hotel F&B operations. Butler leases restaurants inside of full-service hotels and transforms their kitchens into delivery hubs that provide virtual room service and catering to nearby hotels without kitchens. Currently serving over 200 hotels and 40,000 keys in NYC, Chicago, Miami, Butler will expand to ten markets and over 200,000 keys by the end of 2021.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The MarCom (MarCom) Manager is first and foremost an incredible writer who will support a cross functional team of brand, marketing, sales, accounts, and real estate professionals. Responsible for both internal and external communication channels, the MarCom Manager will craft compelling narratives that span every Butler department with particular emphasis on new market launches and restaurant openings.

The MarCom Manager must be a quick study and idea generator with a positive mindset. This person has a propensity to thoughtfully and swiftly try new things through action, while driven to consistently evaluate and learn all along the way. The MarCom Manager will be a connector, fluent in proactive clear communication and service-leadership, and understanding of how each action may impact other business functions. This is a person with true appreciation for the most granular details and is also rightfully capable of keeping the big picture in mind in making recommendations and decisions.

The MarCom Manager reports directly to the Marketing Director and works from Butler HQ in Manhattan. This is NOT a remote position.

RUN THE SHOW

  • Develop and execute marketing and communication plans in line with the business strategy, aimed at accelerating growth and engagement of our customers and audiences.
  • Working closely with the Brand, Accounts (Customer Success), Guest Experience, and Sales, and Real Estate teams on enhancing brand awareness in new and existing markets, ensuring synergy with the brand image.
  • Regular (daily, weekly, monthly) reporting on performance and in-depth analysis for relevant stakeholders and to inform implementation recommendations for optimization.
  • Develop an event & experience strategy and calendar for brand activation.
  • Concept, plan, manage and activate branded events & experiences (including conferences, festivals, trade-shows, etc.).
  • Manage the MarCom budget, ensuring effective use to achieve commercial goals within budget.
  • Work closely with the Operations teams to gain a strong understanding of the business needs and set seasonal communications calendars accordingly.
  • Partner cross functionally to activate initiatives that connect the various company functions to advance the omni experience for customers and guests in accordance with brand goals.
  • Evaluate relevant data/analytics to ensure campaigns are tracked and optimized.
  • Communicate with Account, Guest Experience, and local market teams to ensure campaigns and messaging are implemented effectively.
  • Working cross-functionally across the Image & Content, Brand Marketing, E-commerce teams.
  • Working closely with the Head of VIP and Influencers on all press and influencer activities.
  • Roll out annual, seasonal and monthly marketing strategies for Stella McCartney in line with the Global mission. This includes marketing
  • Project manage deliverables from the Creative Team, including developing creative briefs, timelines, formats, approvals, implementation guidelines/playbooks, distribution of assets, and maintenance of digital library.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience growing a brand by translating insights, ideas, and data into strategic opportunities and creating compelling communications, campaigns, events, and experiences.
  • Experience in creating and implementing a communication and marketing strategy that drives the evolution of a brand and empowers reaching their target audience.
  • Demonstrated success crafting communications and experiential activations in a variety of formats across channels that have made cultural impact.
  • Proven track record running successful marketing and communications teams and programs, delivering results in a commercial environment.
  • Become a champion of the Butler brand, making sure our messages and experiences reflects the values and needs of our community.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to multitask, prioritize and maintain accuracy in a fast paced, dynamic startup environment.
  • Exceptional project management, process management and organization skills. Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate efforts across a multi-tiered organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, proactive ability and gravitas to maintain relationships and to influence and persuade others.
  • Analytical with a strong KPI and ROI mindset, and the amazing ability to infuse the human factor into consideration.
  • Strong network of contacts (comms, media, events, creative partners).
  • A creative storyteller, understanding how to shape effective messages for the intended audience. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Integrated marketing experience with a solid grasp of how to coordinate channel strategies/tactics to work together toward the business objective.
  • Impeccable presentation and communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Commercially minded, with extensive experience working, quickly responding, and coordinating internally across departments.
  • Strong work ethic, reliable with a “hands on” attitude and execution led with a standard for quality output and engagement.
  • Interest in the Hospitality, Food & Beverage, disrupting a sector and the Butler brand.
